Hi all, hope your all ok. Please don't read if your eating breakfast... Last night I suddenly felt like I could breathe properly again for the first time in months, plus there is a huge gap between my boobs and the baby. As I got into the bath there was a tiny blob of yellow mucous. Then I had mild back aches every 30 mins...that stopped. But then this morning (and this is the yuky bit) I got up and went to the loo and just as I stood up a rather large blob (probably a little bigger than an egg yolk) fell into the loo. It was mainly yellowy grey with a dark brown bit in the middle. So that's the mucous plug right?

HI ladies,
Thanks. As much as the sight of it made me feel sick, I'm really glad it's happened.
ok I just had to do it didnt I. I know, I know my own fault, eeeeuuuugh and I just had porridge :-(
Woohoo! Congratulations to you! You're going to be next!

I had antenatal appt yesterday pm and doc said that baby's head is "noweher near"being engaged yet. Arse.
Keep us informed MBoo XX

How do you feel (apart from a bit icky)?
I want a egg yolk sized one...... I hada cruddy little bit over a week ago and nothing since! :-(

Am getting lots of low-down pains today, but knowing my luck it's probably wind or something equally delightful
natalie, the body will often have a 'clearout' to make room for baby descending.

Ive got pains too, wish i knew what they were as well xx
How did it go at appt yesterday red? Peeps were asking after you on that long thread I posted a while ago. Hope things are moving for you too :-)
oh i shall get over there.

Sorry 4getmenot, he he
Hi Nat,
I have to say I'm not feeling 100%, a little bit like I'm coming down with something and tired. Have been getting low back ache every 30 mins or so but still mild and braxtons roughly the same. But, we've been here many times haven't we and it doesn't last. I'll keep you updated as day progresses.

Been to my anti-natal appt, all is well. He's in L.O.A apparantly and is fully engaged. My blood volume has increased and pressure is normal.
Still getting the back ache every so often but nothing progressive as yet so probably a good few days or possibley even a couple of weeks...nevermind!
Feeling better than this morning, not so tired now.
Nat, are you still having pains or have they settled? you went back to work today didn't you?
whats LOA??
Question Author
Thats the position apparantly, bum at top and back runs down left side of my tummy. But she said they can still move from one side to another so I guess it's not that important.

Um, I just had more of the mucous plug come out, it was a tiny bit less than this morning and just yellowish this time, is it normal? I thought this morning would be it because it was quite alot!
HI mountainboo! Sounds like it is all go for you! I think the mucus plug can come away in bits. I would definitely take it as a sign that labour is imminent! Good luck! Sorry I can't be more helpful. I never had a show with my daughter as my waters started leaking and I was put on a drip to bring on my labour. I had a bit of a show the afternoon I went into labour with my son. Keep us posted. Hi Mountainboo,

I have to admit i am so jealous! every time i go to the loo i'm hoping to see something but nothing yet.... Like everyone else has said, i would guess that was your show. Lucky lady!

is it your first baby? my midwife has me down as 2/5 engaged which she said is as much as the baby will engage till labour... is this right? everyone gets told different things!

Hi ladies - not so long for you to go now either Lorry, seems like there is going to be an influx of AB babies very soon! Do you know what you're having?

MBoo, I was back at work today - lord knows how I will get through tomorrow as I was shattered and went to bed as soon as I got in! I've had mild period type pains on and off all day, and then when I got out of bed I had an achey pain all over my belly, and each time I go to the loo now I am wishing to have lost some more of the plug, but alas - nothing! Do you know if you're having a boy or girl?

I'm loathe to take tomorrow off as it is Easter weekend and I will be off anyway; if I can make it through tomorrow then they can't start my mat leave until Weds next week (we get Tuesday's off with every Bank Holiday Monday too).
You're doing really well Natalie and i totally understand why you're pushing to work as long as you can - i did the same thing and finished at 38 weeks. I can tell you - the time at home is FLYING! I've been getting twinges, and cramps, and tightenings and feelings of like my belly is going to fall off..... i hope it all means that maybe that time is getting closer - i have no idea! it's so annoying to be in limbo like this and not having any previous experience. However, on the plus side, it makes it the most exciting experience i've ever been thru and in a weird way i'm actually looking forward to the birth. Bet i won't be saying that with no 2!!

Hope work going well for you...not long left!!

Morning ladies,

All is quiet again this morning, surprise surprise! I'm still having little bits come out here and there so have started wearing pads. How are you all feeling?

It is my first Lorry and it's a little boy. Your right, we all get told different things. He was 2/5 engaged last week but now is fully engaged and I still haven't gone into labor, so I'm not sure. You've been having the same pains as Nat and I, I think it's going to be a race to the finish line for us 3.

How you feeling Nat? My pains seem to stop the moment I go to bed.
