40week update from me :-)

Morning ladies, how are you all feeling today? I just got back from my 40week appt (Happy Due Date to me!). I am obviously providing too good a home to mini-nat because s/he still showing no signs of appearing just yet :-(

Everything is fine but s/he is still "not quite" engaged! I'm booked in for a stretch / sweep one week today and then induction on 17th if baby hasn't arrived by then. Can't believe I could have another two weeks of this.
Has anyone else had a stretch and sweep and was it successful?

I had a good 10-15minute walk there and back though so I am hoping that will get things moving a bit.

Has there been any word from Lorrymac yet? I hope everything is ok, am getting a bit worried now. I hope she is just being kepy busy with dirty nappies and feeds x

red whats causing the skin splitting feeling at the top of your legs? I cant recall anything like that, apart from all across my tummy lol, Im glad I missed out on that one by the sounds of it!

My little one had her first jabs today and man did she scream! Poor little mite :( Her dads taking her for the next lot lol

Hello everyone, I was getting bad pains in my pubic area this afternoont, I guess that could just be SPD or something though and it has eased now. Would be great if something started tonight though, I have sooo had enough of being pregnant!

Ok, so Psy predicts tomorrow, Andrea tomorrow night / Thurs am, Red says Thurs / Fri am, WS says Fri / Sat am (that would please my granddad it's his bday Friday!), Daffi thinks Sunday (please God no!!). Well, I reckon it will play sod's law and come the day before I am due to be induced - Weds 16th LOL

Well, I am going to go get something to eat and then have a bath so doubt I will back on here tonight (early bed for me methinks as he will have footie on downstairs). I hope the next contact will be from him (via whatever means / whoever!), but I shan't hold my breath! Nite all xx

Natalie, I found PGP/SPD to be most painful "underneath" and not in the pubic area. That may be baby putting pressure on down there which could be a good sign! Or not lol

red, she cant have the baby Friday because thats when Ive predicted you will have yours!

Morning ladies, I'm still here. I was thinking at one point that I mightn't be last night becasue the pressure got really bad down there, but I fell asleep in the end and woke up this morning with nothing again! Well nothing apart from whopping puffy feet :-(

I have sweep appt with midwife tomorrow morning though so will mention to her when I see her, although I think it is water retention more than anything else.

So here goes another day.... waiting.....

Ahhh Nat - thought we heard the last of you for a bit! LOL s/he is really hanging in there!

You seem to be having good signs though, your pressure feelings are all good feelings and baby is definatly getting ready!

Just rest and sleep often so that you conserve your energy chick, so exciting! x x x x

I thought you'd heard the last of me too andrea! Seems this baby is just playing tricks with me. My nan banned me from her house yesterday and said she didn't want to see me again until I'd had the baby! Charming...

Well, I need to sweep the floor because I just noticed MrNat has stomped his mud through the kitchen from his work boots. Grrrr. Maybe if I get down with dust pan and brush instead of a broom that will work? If I get stuck down there I'm holding your gran fully responsible though! LOL

How are you feeling today? When is your next appt?

LOL - grans a fab arnt they - say the most 'off the wall' things! She 82 bless!

I'm not too bad, bit of a painful night turning over and think I have a limb perminently stuck in my groin, but other than that ok.

Next 'big' appointment is 14th (mon), will know what consultant is planning for me! Fingers cross my BP will be nice and low and they will leave me alone for bubs to come on her own!

Ah the memories! lol I had to get out of bed to turn over, and I could only get out of bed by pulling myself down to the bottom of the bed and sliding out! lol

I would be really good at predicting these birth dates if only you lot would comply! lol

I've been keeping an eye out on these threads..... has anyone had their baby yet????? It's sooo exciting. My mate has just had a beautiful baby girl and i'm loving having the cuddles. I'm too old for anymore myself - and too overweight(!) so i really envy all of you. Good luck to you all.
