if you were due your period now (ie; it's not very early) you should be fine as you would have ovulated about 2 weeks ago.

that said, pregnancy isn't the only risk you're running. there are longer lasting problems you can get than just a baby....

you should really get to know how your body works.

Hi thanks for your reply my period wasnt due for another week
then I don't think it's yet safe to say you're not pregnant, but if it goes "full flow" you're probably okay, if that's how your usual period is.

sounds like you've had unprotected sex when you're ovulating. you ovulate approx 14 days into your cycle, day 1 being the 1st day of your last period. it's very risky if you're not ready for motherhood.

Hi there again. Many thanks for this, we did use a condom but we found out that it split so that is why im a little worried. hopefully then my period will be normal but if it is only spotting when should i start to worry as i dont want to test to early
so why did you not get the morning after pill ?
Question Author
i did
fair point. you may still be able to use the morning after pill. I think you can use it up to 72 hours later, but check with the pharmacist.
it could be that the spotting is because of the morning after pill rather than you actual period.

Read the instructions to see what it says about bleeding.
