38 WEEKS PREGNANT - Vaginal pain
Im 38 weeks pregnant and for a few weeks now i have been getting pain in my vagina, alsmost like a bruised feeling like someone has kicked me really hard. Is this normal and what is it, is it my body starting to dilate? The last 2 weeks its got worse and i have also been getting smasms in my right top thigh which come on all of a sudden and i loose the use of my leg for a few seconds (rather embarrasing when you just fall on the floor for no reason)

you can also get trapped nerves as baby moves. it's a nightmare! don't panic but if you're really concerned you should have a telephone number for your maternity ward. give them a call for some reassurance.
another tip? enjoy the last bit of peace and quiet! go to the cinema, do the things you won't be able to do with your new baby.
good luck.. how exciting!

what did your midwife say at last appt? is baby fully engaged? it could just be that.
we cant tell you what it is because we cant feel what yolu do but it coiuld be a few things.
labour doesnt start as a constant pain generally. It could be spd, it could be baby on a nerve (my first loved doing that) or it may be baby engaging fully.
call your midwife or the maternity ward if you are concerned, they wont mind at all and will help.
