26weeks pregnant

26weeks pregnant with stringy kind of thick greeny discharge, what is it? i have read that it maybe my mucas plug but im having no contractions or anything but iv had it all day and alot of it.

The mucous plug is not thick and green - it's pinky reddish

Green to me indicates an infection of some kind. I advise you speak to your GP or practice nurse for a swab to be taken - perfectyl safe when pregnant but any infection may not be

I'm also 26 weeks pregnant (what date are you due?) and I've had this on and off throughout. I didnt have any infections at the start of my pregnancy but it doesnt hurt to get checked if you're worried. I also had some weird orange stuff when I was about 17 weeks but midwife said its normal for your body to keep getting rid of the old cells and stuff. Yuck! Ring your midwife, she should be able to put your mind at rest. I reckon they're used to having all sorts of questions asked. Take care

I hate to say it, but my plug was like snot once the pink bit stopped. :)

Carlie, give your midwife a call tomorrow and ask for advice, even if it is the plug it doesnt mean labour is on way so dont panic.

thankyou for all your answers i phoned my midwife last night and was told to go to delivery suite and felt so silly when they toldme nothin was wrong apart from my cervix had moved alittle i dont no what that means but app its nothin to worry about :)

It would be so much easier if everyone went through their pregnancy exactly the same wouldn't it? All the same symptoms so we all knew what to expect and when!! ;o)
I'm due the 1st! So long as I get my Christmas dinner I'll be ok!
We dont know what we're having, Its our 1st and wanted it to be a suprise. I think its the best way for me because if I knew what colours to buy I'd be lethal with the plastic!! Hope you're feeling better now you know what it is. I've got niggles of my own but I wont hijack you're thread now!
Let me know how you're getting on then seeing as our dates are so close.
