my friend was married 10 years had an hystrectomy at 23 never really wanted kids shes now been divorced 2 yeasrs is 34 and would love to adopt a child an older one between 5 and 10 what do you think her chances are as a single woman she has a goosd jod doesnt smoke is healthy and has a lovely 2 bed cottage that she inherited off her dad when he died 4 years ago

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.i dont see why she couldnt adopt as a good loving home with one parent is just as good as 2 parents. its a long process but you could talk to her about considering fostering while the months maybe yrs of paperwork are being done. it would be so rewarding for her to help a child that is really in need especially if she doesnt want to adopt a baby. its an option and a good one at that! what you think?
I would have thought that she would have a good change - unless she turns out to belong to some secret cult that you don't know about.
Mind you, the way the PC brigade are, you will probably find that she needs to be from a minority in order to meet the quotas. And before anyone jumps up and complains, that is not meant to be anti - anything, it is just that sometimes being completely average is actually a disadvantage.
I hope that she applies and is lucky to be able to provide a child ( and herself) with a happy future.
