Hiya,

When do you start to feel your baby move?

I'm in my 11Th week (scan next Tuesday) & I'm just about getting over my morning sickness JOY!

I just wondered at what stage you start feeling small movements?

hi K82,
with your first baby the movements (which at first are more like a tiny popping sensation) are felt at any time between about 14 and 22 weeks.
The position of the placenta can affect this.
Usually from about 20 weeks, but may feel bubbling sensations beforehand. I'm 18+3 but can't say I've felt anything definite yet.
I first felt little bubbling/popping type movements from around 15 weeks. Very early I know and I wasn't sure at first. They happened when I was either in bed lying very still or strangely enough when I was driving the car!!
Can't remember when they got stronger but I do remember going on holiday just before I was 6 months gone and feeling and watching all sorts of movement on my belly whilst sunbathing!
Hi K82 - I was about 18 weeks - it felt like butterflies - my Nan called it 'the quickening' which I always thought sounded a bit sinister! Take care x
i felt mine about 22 weeks, its usually anywhere between 18-26 weeks. oh and my morning sickness didnt stop til 20 weeks!
i felt fluttering sensations around 16weeks and just put it down to wind etc but felt my 1st kick at 17weeks, there was no mistaking it was baby then. im 25 weeks pregnant today and feel baby moving and kicking all the time. u can see it too, its a weird feeling lol but also comforting as i know he's ok :)
