Miscarriage?

Does anyone know what te signs are in early pregnancy. Im around 9 weeks now and this morning noticed spotting. Im due to have a scan this Thurdsay to confirm dates. Im not experiancing any cramps at all,could this be the start of a miscarriage??

Be calm honey. I've been in that situation more than once and worrying will only make it worse. Is the blood red or dark brown?

Have you been active over the last couple of days? That can bring on a little spotting in the early days.

Thanks yeah have been active,its more an light brown,seems to have stopped. Should i go to the doctors or just wait till the scan thursday?

Brown is good. It means older blood which means that it could just be displaced from when the egg implanted.

ok. good. scary i know, but let this give you a little warning - not too much activity in these early days!

CathyK is right - I had exactly the same thing and was told it could be when the egg implanted or what they termed "breakthrough bleeding" which sometimes occurs around the time your period would have been due.

And my "baby" is 7 now, so definitely everything was OK!

I had spotting at about 9 weeks. They do say a sign of misscarriage is stomach cramps and lower back pain.

Lots of women get spotting in early pregnancy. When I had it, my GP sent me immediately to have a scan and fortuntely everything was ok. Perhaps you can bring the scan forwards.

I'm in my 14Th week & I had very light brown spotting one afternoon when I was about 8 weeks & nothing became of it. I've since had 2 scans & everything is going great!

My friend however miscarried this month & she started with spotting & then it turned into a full flow, only after a few days of bleeding did she start cramping & at the scan a heart beat couldn't be found.

Your situation sounds very much like mine so panic not & look foward to your first scan - It's breath taking!! x

Hi ya, I bled red blood at about 3 months - I was terrified. He is nearly 11 months now.
My sister gushed and gushed with red blood about te same time, her little girl is 3 years old!

Yeah i had a few large blobs of blood, which was red (horrible i know) when i was around 8weeks pregnant, i was sure i was having a misarriage and was in a terrible state.
I rang the hospital and they asked me if i was having any pain, had a little. They told me to go for a scan the next day and everything seemed fine (thank god!)
Apparently its very common for women to bleed a little during the early stages, which i wish id known about that at the time lol
Im 30weeks gone now :)

Went down the hospital last night ,they said that it was common in early stages. They did another test and came back positive but this morning its alot heavier and having some cramps now. Got the scan at 3pm today so fingers crossed x
