Tiredness
I'm in my 'Second Trimester' & so so tierd! Is this normal? I've been told & read that in your second trimester you should feel at your best & less tierd.
I go to bed around 9:30ish most nights & take Pregnacare every day but am so tierd all the time.
Is this the norm or could there be something wrong with me?! x

You're growing a new person, carrying extra weight, got a million things on your mind and trying to do everything you did, before you were pregnant, that takes its toll. Tiredness is your body's way of telling you to slow down a bit!
However you should mention it to your MW next time you see her, but it's prob just normal.
How far along are you?

I know what you mean, I was doing a teaching course part time , working full time and doing up a house (proper manual labour) until I was into my 3rd trimester then I started to get ill and felt faint very often. I spoke to the MW and she practically laughed at me saying 'what did I expect?'. It was really hard to slow down and like you I felt guilty but everthing else isn't worth getting sick over. You and the bump are all that matters - i wish I'd realised that earlier!
Luckily it was all alright in the end and I've learnt my lesson - now if all I manage to do in a day is get up, dressed, put a load of washing on and go to the park its been a busy day!!
look after yourself! x

Lol - Get up, dressed, washing & park sounds good to me!
I'm too working full time whilst learing a profession (so I can be flexible once little one arrives) & too decorating a new house! Oh also getting married on 18Th April!!!!
I think after the wedding & honeymoon I'm going to make an absolute point of slowing down! I'm so very excited about the baby & would never forgive myself if something was to happen but this site is great for keeping track of what's 'The Normal'.
Just a quickie, I've got my detailed 20 weeks scan Monday 23Rd so I'll know for sure boy or girl :o) I've done the internet tests & ring thing & all say different lol! x

i was very tired with both of mine, i used to get home, eat, fall asleep in front of hollyoaks, wake at 10 have a bath and go to bed til 8am.
I think youll have had blood tests recently (im sure its about 16 weeks) and they should check your iron levels as that can also cause tiredness, but being tired is perfectly normal, your body is working very hard.

LOL you got me beat by one then! I ended up interrupting my studies and telling my partner that 'No, I couldn't help him haul plasterboard up ladders anymore I was just too fat and tired!!' I also dropped one afternoon a week at work which was great - a bit of 'me time'!!
Normal - whats that then?!!!
Good luck for the scan, the 20 week scan is soooo amazing! they look like real babies by that point and the pictures are really detailed.
What are you hoping for? I really wanted a girl and thought I'd cry if it were a boy. It was/is a girl but as soon as they said it, I realised I wouldn't have minded either way.
Let us know how you get on.......and get some rest!!

I was tired all the way through too and I didnt do half the things you are doing! lol I finally got a burst of energy and stopped feeling so tired...... when I started going into labour!
If you need to sleep, sleep. If there is something that really needs to be done, ask someone else to do it for you. Dont feel guilty about resting because, trust me, you will have plenty more to do all the time when baby arrives and for the next 18+ years! lol
K8, I had a look on your link to your thread out of curiosity and wondered why I hadnt answered considering I was always on back then. Then I noticed the date. I had given birth the day before! lol
