can i get pregnant after a miscarriage ??

I was 10+3 days when i had a miscarriage, it was on the 23rd april but had to also have a d+c on the 24th, weeks after this i started bleeding again which im guessing was a period on the 16th / 17th may, is it safe to try for another now ?? and can i get pregnant as its only been 6 weeks ?? I have kids allready, i havent had any other miscarriages. This was going to be out last to complete our family, im longing for another and just dont feal complete without, please help :-( x

We were advised to wait a couple of months in order for my wife's body to recover before trying again. This we did and are now expecting again.

Yes you can get pregnant now, but I would wait for another 2weeks to see if you have a NORMAL period.

when you bleed a few weeks after a miscarriage is it not atcherly a proper period then ?? im so confused and my doctor isnt any help ?

No, they said there is no reason why it happened. It was just the body's way of rejecting it. Perhaps due to a development problem with the baby but no-one can be sure.

They are keeping a closer eye on her this time and so far everyting is going great (touch wood).

The period straight after is your body rejecting any remains that are still inside you. You should wait until your next period. My wife was bleeding for about 2 weeks before her body settled down.

It's an awful time and my heart goes out to you and your partner.

Arw well i hope everything does all work out and your baby will be ok, its the worst emontional thing a miscarriage, just wish they would come with awnsers too ;(((

i was bleeding for 3 days, but hemridged so was rushed for a d+c, then blead for a few days after the d+c, 3 weeks after i started bleeding again which i thought was a period ??

Try again in about a month or two and I'm sure you'll be fine too.
