Can I share my good news

I have just become a new first time Nanna. My daughter gave birth to a 9 pound boy two days ago. His name is Lorcan Xavier Weston. He is a real champ. Daughter had forceps delivery and is obviously very tired but doing fine. I am so proud of her, after many gynae problems, the birth of this little chap is a real gift.

Congratulations. Can't wait to be a Nana...but have got two Godchildren of 3 and 7 who live 5 doors away so am spoilt. Ahhh the smell of a new baby and the nape of their necks and the little bracelets of fat wrists......besotted with babies ?? Surely not. Have lots of happy cuddles and well done your daughter.

With a 1 and 3 year old i certainly can wait to be a nana, though it must be so much nicer to get all the cuddles and not the sleepless nights.

Many congratulations elaine. You are in for the best time of your life. I became a nana last June - Thomas will be 1 on Tuesday (we were out buying him a bike today) and he has brought us so much joy. As my son says 'what did we talk about before Thomas was born?"

Enjoy every moment with Lorcan, it's a lovely relationship and you'll have wonderful times with him.

it's so wonderful that you are so happy for your daughter. I am so happy for her, my mom never cared and even refused to hold my 2nd for first weeks because i let my first born hold his brother first. daft but true.
