Due Date
I presume due dates are based on a 28 day cycle? The first day of my last period was on 6th September last year and the Hospital estimated baby should arrive on 13th June.
I did tell them initially that I don't have a 28 day cycle, mine is usually between 32 and 34 days. Surely that would make my due date later, between 17th and 19th June?

Still hanging on in there?? All I know is that I wasn't 100% sure of my dates as I didn't have a period between my last miscarriage and falling pregnant, but they worked out my due date from my 1st scan with the measurements etc. With Baby Picky 1 it was supposed to be a lot simpler as I knew the date of my last period, but as my cycle lengths varied as well I was never really sure.
How are you feeling? Shouldn't be too much longer poppet!

a cycle of 32-34 days would alter the dates a bit.
BUT unless the scan at 12 weeks showed a difference of more than 1 week between your true date or date they had it would not be changed on your records.
baby will arrive when ready, if you dont want any interference in case youre not overdue then you can just refuse the sweep and any inductions before 42 weeks.

Not too far from Manchester - Bolton. Are you up't North too?
I had a pethadine shot at 6pm with baby Picky 1 and he finally arrived at 12.27am so they said I did the last 2 and a bit hours with only gas and air. All I can say is yes, it does smart a bit (!), but if you listen to your midwife she will hopefully get you through the easiest way possible. Mini V will be here soon, although they seem to just turn up when they feel like it! Let us know how you're getting on

hi velvetee, still o sign then? i dont think ive ever known anyone who has their baby on there due dates. Both of mine were late and infact ateach scan i had i was given different dates on each child so i wouldnt rely on them too much. Baby velvet will come when hes good and ready. The last couple of weeks are always the hardest in my opinion but it will all be worth it in the end, just make the most of the peace and quite and put your feet up with a cuppa. Good luck with the birth, fingers crossed for you it wont be much longer xxx
i had my first on her due date =)
My 2nd was 9 days early
Incidentially, you don't have to have an induciton if you dont want one, even once you get to the magical 42 week mark. As long as you are monitored daily and all the usual checks are done, you and baby should be fine and s/he will come when ready. Obviously if the placenta starts failing then you will need medical intervention. The choice, until then, is yours
