I just want to wish the ladies here, who are still awaiting the birth of their babies lots of luck and easy births, especially Picky, who I know is due soon.

I've had enough of some of the idiots on this site, who purposely seek people out, just to berate them, so will be using Babycentre from now on. My user name there is "Monadami" so I may bump into some of you there.

Thank you for your many sincere messages I received whilst I was in hospital having my baby, I felt genuine support.

Take care

Oh Velvetee, don't wanna lose you! I don't know what's happened, I won't pry but I will find you on baby centre. Thanks for your kind wishes, lots of love to you and the little man xx
V, I've sent you a friend invite on babycentre, my old Picky login didn't work, got a new one, you'll see it's me! xx
i dont use baby centre so i wont see you about, but just want to wish you and baby velvet all the best x x
It's a shame that another good person is being driven away from this site by some who think 'they own it'

Come back now and then with an update velvetee and let us know how you and the little one are doing.
xx
V - dont let the bukkers get you down - just ignore negative answers, without comment......no point in arguments with ppl you may never meet.

Now back to our Tich................;)
I don't want to cause an argument or upset anyone but.....I read that thread and do not think anyone said anything wrong.
well its velvets choice, if she feels better on babycentre then so be it.
I have only seen the thread this morn so cant comment as a lot of replies have been deleted.
Without wishing to throw petrol onto a smouldering fire............
I would say the following;
I'm sure the Mums amongst us can remember 'the early days', and possibly without a great deal of fondness.........
The hormones take a while to stabilise and are complemented by the panic of new, sudden and eternal responsibility.
I am absolutely sure that I was, possibly, not an ickle fluffy bunny-wunny wafting about in a Laura Ashley dress..........
And anyone with an ounce of sensitivity ought to back away with good grace when confronted with a new mother who is perhaps not seeing things from the same point of view as the speaker.
Who is 'right' and who is 'wrong' is a moot point in such a circumstance.
I wish all the Velvets well............
I agree with ummmm.
Velvetee is being a bit silly over NOTHING at all . i read the thread and it was Velvetee who got all aggressive.
"One the idiots on this site" gave a answer that they perceived as sound advice it was not malicious in anyway , all Velvetee had to do if she did not agree was ignore it.

but then again i'm just a man ,so what would i know about kids?
Read my post properly, noknow............

jackthe paranoid ...............can i just inform you that i never read your post before i posted mine, i started typing when i got a knock on the door, so my post was in limbo for a few minutes.

i have read it now of course.

Thankyou for your long-winded explanation..............which was unnecessary, of course................:o)
no.k.....a loving dad, am sure! ;)
of 4 tambo , my mrs went a little bit wobbly with the 3rd child so i know full well what can happen

how many kids do you have jack?
my dad was best......better than my mum. Being one of 5 it was too much for her 24/7 and dad brought in peace/love/care/fun to relieve tensions.

The value of dads are forgotten today.
One.

Having experienced a 'wobbly' woman yourself, I'm sure that you understood that no matter how 'right' you were, if your wife wasn't seeing things from your viewpoint, you backed away rather than let a trivial discussion escalate out of proportion ?

so basically what you are saying is, even when not wrong
the idiot was wrong ?????????????
Whoa :o) :o)
There is no idiot in the circumstance (unless you mean last night's debacle)........just someone who may be slightly more rational than than the other one............
I hope you dont leave the site Velvetee, there have always been idiots on here but there also loads of nice people.
Dont let the morons drive you away.

I didn't expect to see you about much for a while anyway. Having a new baby can be all absorbing and exhausting. I know when my first was born I was too shattered to change from my dressing gown for two weeks and when the Health Visitor made her first visit I just kicked most of the clutter behind the sofa.

Anyway, good luck to you and your lovely new family whatever you decide
there was no 'idiot' last night either....
ALL the posts were equally valid....and i have pointed this out on the thread .....
if Vwas suffering so badly...she should have withdrawn from her thread......NOT gone on to criticise any and all who disagreed
