that's really nice of you :) I am still pregnant, and now very happy about it - i have somewhat got over the initial shock. I have had to have 2 scan so far because of bleeding, and i am still spotting everyday
The scan tell me i am 8 weeks and 5 days pregnant, but i wish it was more, because i am still pertified that something awful will happen, plus i want to get to the 12/13 week scan stage so i can feel more confident in telling people. I already seem to not fit any of my trousers very well - surely this is far too ear;ly for a bump?
Have seen an obstetrician who reassured me abit about all the medications i was taking before i knew i was pregnant. Just now having to decide whether i will have the nuchal scan for downs syndrome - i am thinking i will give it a miss really.
Still don't "feel" pregnant!
Thanks again for asking

That's all good so far then, a colleague of mine didn't find out she was pregnant until 22 weeks because she was still having periods and although she had felt ill and was putting on weight, she didn't really match it up - she is not really slim anyway. She panicked about things she had done before she knew, but she now has a healthy happy 2 year old. I didn't get the down's test done, I didn't want to risk the pregnancy and wouldn't have terminated anyway so a bit pointless.
Stay well and give us an update from time to time, I guarantee that people care and are interested.
Ooooo excellent bednobs, glad to hear it, and even more glad that you're now glad- lol.

Keep us updated :-)
hey bednobs,
i was wondering if we'd see an update, i didnt want to ask as youd not mentioned it for a while.
Glad all is still going OK, and that they are keeping a close eye on you. I have known a few ladies who have gone through pregnancy beeding like that and alls been fine.
8 weeks is good, the first weeks do pass slowly as do the last few weeks lol
Really glad this was asked as I have been wondering too and not liked to ask you myself! So glad to hear that you are pregnant and happy it's so funny how things work out isn't it? I remember you saying that to me after I had my 2nd. Take care hun and try not to worry about the bleeding, I'm sure everythings just fine.

p.s never too early for a bump ;o)

I was desperate for a bump with my first, but I think I was about 20 weeks before it showed - I had cultivated a rather impressive 6 pack in my pre baby years so the muscle held it in a bit - by the end I had a huge bump (he was 9lb 13) and I still didn't have any fat to speak of - just a huge bump. I had a 5 finger wide split in my abdominal muscles after he was born. I got pregnant quickly the second time so had a bump by the time I went back to work and tbh nearly 9 years later still struggling to lose it - 6 pack gone forever i think!! (and i can still stick my whole hand through the split in my stomach muscles).
really never too early? I am not a small girl at the best of times and had thought maybe it was just fat!
Hi Bednobs, glad to hear you're doing well [have been a secret watcher of your thread], just wanted to say that I spotted up to 5 months with my first and he's now 18 and 6'4''. Just keep calm and everything will be fine.

annie, your stomach sounds as if it should be sore . . . .
Hi Bednobs :o)

Same as Divegirl I have been a secret watcher of your threads and glad I caught this one in the latest posts box on the right.

I am really chuffed to hear your great news and wish you all the best :o)

I look forward to reading the updates as your pregnancy progresses xx
what a lovely lovely thread, thanks everybody :)
typical since i wrote this answer saying i was happy, i have been bleeding frsh blood quite heavily over the weekend, like i've been having a normal period. GRRRRRRR.
I have a scan on thursday, so will probably wait till then to do anything as i don't have any pain or anything
Just make sure you take it easy hun! Fingers and toes crossed for you.

Lisa xxx
Oh no :-( Fingers crossed....but I would go asap if I were you Bednobs xxx
Yes at least give the doc a buzz - and take it easy
don't think there is much point - not a lot anyone can do if i am having a miscarriage :(
But if you're not it will take the stress away.....

Although I was further on than you with my youngest I lost loads of blood. So much that it was like I was wetting myself. The couldn't explain what was happening. The baby was fine, the placenta was fine but it was definitely coming from the womb.
ummmm is right, bednobs, please call the Early pregnancy Unit at hospital and see if they do a scan today

take it easy, get as much rest as you can x
Sorry, thanks for all your advice but i just can't.
If i go to the EPU they will confirm it and i'm just not ready to hear that yet
oh bednobs,
i hope everything is well on Thursday. x
