In the OFFICE keeping a 5 yr old entertained

A colleague has need to bring her 5 yr old boy in to work. (No other option for her today) he is very well behaved.

She said he loves to "help" and would love to "help me" (the administrator )with some tasks. Help ....how to keep a 5 year old usefully entertained in a boring office. Please give me some ideas of little tasks he can help with to make him feel important.

Tidying the filing cabinet?

sortingi the paper clips, making a paper clip chain (it'll do your nut in when you want one though)

Elastic bands can be useful.

I used to keep my littlies amused by getting them to sort things, colured papreclips into their different colours etc. It's time consuming, easy and they love it, also making things out of paper and glue for signs- anything that's not messy but creative and keeps them occupied should suffice.

I'd be bluntly telling her "your kid, you amuse him, t'aint my responsibility" as well as "but if he destroys any work im doing, i may have to break his fingers*"

Every time I do any filing or anything to do with paperwork I get papercuts! Not a good idea.
