i am in the process of sorting out a passport for my 7yrold is it ok to ask a teacher at her school to sign in or is that really not the thing to do.has anyone asked there school to sign a passport.thank you.

A teacher is acceptable.

Remember it's YOU they have to have known two years, not the child, which might pose a difficulty if the timing's wrong.

I just get the landlord of our local to sign them.
Yes it's fine, I asked a teacher when mine was that age

Yes our GP's charge £15 a time - a fair bit on top of the passport charges
I do wander how much value there is in a qualified person signing a passport application.
Nobody was qualified to sign my passport application where I worked but a teacher signed it.
We had known each other by first name for about 5 years at the time but we did not know each others surname until then.
I had visited her house but until that point in time she had no reason to visit mine.
We met at the local leisure centre.
