*hanging -from a washing line strung across the room, not even a collapsable airer ! they should have bought desktop's off ebay
Eastenders!
When I start having my wood burner on all day I will be putting the washing in the living room. It will be dry before everyone else gets in and won't bother me.
It's how I dry my washing all the time.
Just started watching it and it is to wind Zainab up (she said she would stop nagging).
My washing's hanging in the bathroom. Where's yours, dotty?
Sounds like my son's student house.

The 'living room' is now a drying room.

once it's out the tumbler it gets put away.
I couldn't afford to dry all mine in the tumble drier (and it only works when it feels like it).
My tumble dryer gets used once in a blue moon.

The TV knocks out a reasonable heat, perfect for drying Mr Cakes greying y-fronts on top.......
I put mine on a clothes airer in the kitchen. The underfloor heating dries it in no time.

I guess with just 2 it's easier, when we were little mum had a wooden drying rack on rope and pullies attached to the ceiling that lowered to fill, only in winter and only then when it was raining.
My mom had one of those Flatley driers when I was A kid, remember them dot.
You can still buy them. There is one in my dad's kitchen that my mother was still using until she died (2 years ago). She used to drive me bonkers with it as she would take all the clothes off it every time she cooked and then put them all back on when she had finished (I know why she did it, still drove me bonkers).

oh the flatley drier! Mum used to use the round wooden poles to make ginger snaps on bonfire night, gawd knows why it worked but it did
