Does anyone know if you can register as a childminder just to look after your own grandchild. I used to be a registered childminder, but am not anymore. However my daughter is returning to work after maternity leave, and I am looking after her little one, and would receive payment if I was a registered childminder once more.

Can't she just give you some money without you having to jump through all the hoops (ofsted, etc).
yes you can register and care for your grandchildren BUT you would have to also look after other children, for payment.
I believe there would be CRB checks if looking after other children as a business.
