My wife is due to start claiming her pension on 06 May. She's filled the forms in etc. Can anyone tell her when she will be paid it? i.e from that date in arrears / advance, weekly, fortnightly, monthly? As she has no experience of it she doesn't know what to expect. Can anyone advise?

Thanks

When I claimed mine I got one week then monthly thereafter paid in arrears. You can claim it every week. She will get a letter stating how her pension is made up and for how much and also when it will start being paid.
She can choose the frequency of the payment - if she's got the form, it'll tell her. I didn't fill in a form, I rang them up when I wanted to start claiming. I get my first payment on April 8th.
