I am a grandma. Most people thought I was mad wanting to be called this when I became a grandma at age 39 but it is because my own mum has always been nana to all the grandchildren and I didn't want to be associated with the old cow (we don't get on with very good reason on my part) in any way whatsoever!

ohh Daffy ,we are given our family and choose our friends. I know exactly what you mean I am the same way with my only sister , who my family call the Witch .
I'm a Granny and my husband was Grandpa. My mother and her mother were also Grannies.
Im nana and Mr Boo is grumps.
To my three older grandchildren I'm grandma *robinia*
My newest grandson isn't old enough to give me a title yet :)
My wife is Nanny, and is so to all our grandchildren.

I am Grandad to the younger ones, but to the older ones I am Pandy.

My eldest grandson, who is now eight, grew up hearing my eldest daughter, his mum, call me Andy, but was unable to imitate, so called me Pandy, and the name stuck.

His sister, now seventeen took the name on as well, and I am in her mobile directory as 'Pandy Hughes' - how cool is that!
My Mum and Dad are Nana and Pops. OH's Mum and Dad are Gran and Granpa.
I am a Mamya.
not sure yet - the rugrats are still at the pointy stage.
I am called Nan to my 4 grandchildren, and have never heard them call me anything different. Mr Puss is called Grandad.
Nanna sounds really sweet I must say.
I'm a nana, my husband is grumps and my dad was pops to my children.
I always grew up with calling them Grandma and Grandad, but to my children the equivalent term is now Nanny and Grandad. We asked parents for their preference at the time, and both mums chose Nan/Nanny as grandma was, like, well old.
I'm Naini... pronounced nine ee, and Mr S is Taida. Nain and Taid are Welsh for Nan and Grandad.
My Mum and Dad are Nanna and Grandy
I am Nain as I am welsh my husband is Grandad as he is English.
To my only Grandson I was Nanny, but as he grew up I became Nan. My husband is Grandad.

My Mum then became Nan-Nan to her only Great Grandson..being the older Nan.

We were told last week we are to become Great Grandparents, so although not sure what we will be called, we hope I can become Nan-Nan same as my late Mum,my husband doesn't mind what he gets called. We'll leave it to the new parents to decided what they prefer.

Simply gran to all four.
Just as long as his surname was not "ckle"!!
