This friend sees me like a little brother for some reason. We are good friends and I trust her. however she said she was defensive of me the other day. What exactly does that mean? People are saying she has her guard up around me but why would she do that? Im so confused.

Just as a good sister will protect her brother at times, she is looking after you. If you feel it's too much, tell her. If you are grateful, tell her.
Just looking out for you !..I'd be pleased...
If you have romantic intentions towards the women then I'm afraid it means they are not being reciprocated... You, like many before you, have entered the friendzone from whence you may never escape.
It seems to me that although your friend is fond of you she also wants to maintain some space between you..I agree with Iggy, if you're hoping for a closer relationship you're probably going to be disappointed.
I agree with factor and murray...she is being protective of you-as a sister would....or a good friend.
How old are you and your friend?
