Im a bit confused as what to do. Im 3 months pregnant, and since the start of the pregnancy my father has mate lots of small comments on his unhappiness of the baby being around, today he said hed hoped the baby would not keep him up at night, as the spare bedroom is next to his and i was planning to keep the baby when born in the spare room, i would have put a cot in there ect (can a newborn have its own room?) he is saying the baby should stay in my room with me for the 1st three years as hed like the room spare and wanted to put a bed in there given to him by my uncle.
Question is, im currently working up until the pregnancy, but not sure if ill return-am i entitled to a council house? i was living with my father to save for my own place but didnt manage to save anything as i had to pay bills. What hurt me the most is when my brother was living there he welcomed their child and never made snidey comments purporting her to be a burden. Today he shouted at me and said its either me or him living there and seeing as its his house i guess it will be me who has to go but i have nowhere to go. The father (my partner) lives with me however does not earn enough to rent our own place, and never helps me so ive written him off. My friends dont have spare rooms and my mother lives 100 miles away, dont know what to do.

thank you
Would your mother put you up? I know its 100 miles away but actually that's not far, you could resettle and start afresh.

\i wish i could Kvalidir but i work and havent decided to give it up yet or not-i dont want to be financially worse off and she lives in her partners house, she doesnt own a crumb of it and i dont want to intrude
Okay well then you need do a colinandjess suggested. It's quite likely if you are on a low wage that you can claim LHA for your own place.
so two people's salary isn't even enough to rent a studio flat?
I really feel for you, pregnant with your first child and having to cope with all this as well. Go and talk to your local council first and see what they can do to help you and then get your benefits sorted out. It is great that you want to carry on working but in time that may not be possible so getting it sorted will be a great weight off your mind. Good luck.
if you have no success with local authority contact Shelter.
Things may change once you have the baby. Save as much as possible but if he's like most real fathers his heart will melt
