Your thread had been dragged so far off-course that I think the Site Editor decided to remove it. Hopefully, the sensible answers you received will have answered your question.

Peter Pedant Your statement applies if you read English Law in England then you cannot practice in Scotland.

There are many people who prefer the quality of life north of the border.
It doesn't matter where you read law. You cannot practise without a further qualification, Diploma in Legal Practice in England/Wales, don't know the Scottish equivalent.
By the way, it is only marginally less difficult to gain entry to Edinburgh or Durham than it is to Oxford or Cambridge. Both require very high standards.
Taddbeta,

Good morning, having had a quick look into what happened it does seem as though your thread was pulled because it wandered too far off the main OP.

This is a lovely site with a great community that occasionally likes to get into heated discussions :-)

I really hope that you got some sensible answers before the thread disappeared. Please feel free to post again if you need any clarification about your original question or indeed any other :-)

If you feel that the discussion is turning away from the OP then please use the Report function and us editors will have a look into it.

Normally threads about removed threads are pulled too, but I will leave this one here for clarification.

And I do hope that those involved have thought about their actions.
