We have my sister-in-law visiting for a month. She is about 8 years older then me. Bless her, she has taken over making the dinner during the week while we are working. But, I have noticed she does not wash her hands after using the loo. What should I do? if I mention it to Mr.Sam I doubt he would believe me, and he would get very angry with me, he absolutely adores her. By the way, I noticed because she comes out the toilet so quickly after flushing and we would hear the tap running. It just puts me off eating her food. Another thing, she has her own bathroom here, should I clean it ? Or leave the cleaning materials discretely in sight in her bathroom. What would you guys do ?

I might wait until she gets up to go to the loo and then say "Oh sorry [insert name of sis] I am not sure there is a towel in there for you to dry your hands, give me a mo".

She is a guest - you do the cleaning.
No real advice but my mother has fish delivered and the chap used her toilet and didn't wash his hands afterwards. A rather nice thought!
That's a tricky one. You could try and 'wangle' it into a conversation.
Try not to think about it.

There's probably more germs on your door handles.
^just like Barmaid says.
I would make up a scenario where someone didn't wash their hands and really emphasise how disgusting you find it.
Barmaid's answer is the best one, so far.
Or do what Svejk says and say "Oh my god, I was reading an article in the **** today and it said that **% of people dont wash their hands and there are *** bacteria after using the loo, isnt that awful? - I must make sure there is a towel and soap in there".

Be subtle - pin a sign on the door to remind people to wash their hands.
Put a new hand wash in the toilet/bathroom and ask her what she thinks of it!!!
I am sure she cannot say she has not used it!

If her bathroom is en suite, I would not clean it, but otherwise do.

That's a good idea Gav. Actually I do have a story about that to tell. I will try the towel trick too. Thanks all. I thought I was getting paranoid.
put hand lotion beside the soap and ask her if she likes it.
Start a discussion like I don't know what to do. I was in town the other day and used the toilet and noticed that someone from the store that prepared food didn't wash their hands. Do you think I should report them.
