Wife Wont Sign Tr 1 Form
3 Answers
My wife and I separated a number of years ago and had a number of properties and debt in joint name. We setup a joint agreement that sorted out who would own what. The courts ratified it and since then we have sold all but one remaining property.
The remaining property is in joint names but owned by me according to the agreement. My wife has signed all the paperwork up to the point of the TR form which was presented on exchange (2 days before completion). She is now refusing to sign unless I pay her £2500.
Do I need her to sign the TR1 if the court order confirms the property is mine?
Will this prevent completion on Friday?

During this period I carried on paying child maintenance until I could no longer afford it(sold my car to bridge gap). There are technically 5 months at £500 not paid. She is claiming they are due and I am being advised that child support should be reset to zero or near zero during periods on no income. Our solicitors are discussing now.
