Am I Wrong For Asking My Girlfriend To Text More Often
71 Answers
We currently text for around 4-5 minutes at a time once an hour or so. I work 9-16 hour shifts and only text when I get the rare moment to myself. She does not work and spends all of her time at home. Chatting online with randoms. Or watching TV. I don't make any demands of her but I do ask that she text me more often but she refuses by either not texting more or making excuses for why she cannot. Such as suddenly needing to feed her cat.

Strange choice of Best Answer. I'll try answering questions with just 'yes' or 'no' in future

The "rare moment?"......4-5 minutes at a time EVERY hour?
Blimey....what do you have to talk about?
Why do you want her to text you more often........when she has told you what underwear she has on , what colour and consistency and had a bit of cybersex.........what else is there to talk about?
Stick with it until or if someone more exciting comes along.

It's already quite a lot you are talking. I get that it can also feel like not enough, but if you see each other at the end of the day then that says more about the relationship and how it's going than (effectively) requiring half-hourly texts. Try and relax about it -- or, at least, try to pretend that you're relaxed about it.
@Eleena We're both 22 and to clarify we are engaged not just in a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship to further clarify yes texting 4 to 5 minutes every hour is a good amount of texting but that is our main communication since we are both usually sleeping when I'm home and when I'm awake I'm gone for work ..so when you consider that I speak to her 4-5 minutes every hour in general it isn't as much as it seems like
