the 2 younger albas, a drink too far and wowsers, can they fight!
Anyhoo, upshot is the older one moved out on Boxing Day (his brother's birthday) celebrations were moot.

Older one sofa-surfed for a few nights and is in temp accommodation - flipping landed on his feet - 5 mins away from his work, everyone is talking to each other so that's good.

Anneasquith gave me some very good advice years ago when the younger one was a bit of an issue and his aunt stuck her nose in - follow anne's advice and my head and heart so all became good on that front.

oh help ma boab, mamya :-(

Are they talking now? Have they been talking to each other for years?
Was it just a blip?

(so sorry, ignore me - xxx)
Oh yes, all got sorted - she was just trying to run before she could walk really.

A long time ago now, I still remind her she took my best gloves that night and we giggle. xxx

Hope all sorts with you too xxx
Question Author
gloves?!! jeez, that was just rude lol

We are all talking to each other, older one has decided that this will be best for him, blinking painful way to go about it tho.

Anyhoo, things have calmed down a lot and hopefully it will stay that way.

Am still giggling about gloves (sincere apologies for that xxxx)
Aye, when the drink's in the wit's oot as my mum used to say. Glad all back on an even keel Alba.
No apologies needed, tis funny what you remember.
I wonder alba if this episode has in some way been the best thing for the boys? Maybe older one should have his own place by now? Unfortunately as you will find out he will still be around for food and laundry services . the two of them are besoms .?:-)
Question Author
I'm sure there will be a few comments in the forth-coming years when I'll remind them of what each said to each other.
(pair of plonkers at the moment)

Maggie, your mum was a wise woman. xx
Question Author
Anne, as ever, you are the wisest of the wise, thank you xx

The older one has said that he looks on this as a wake-up call and really should have sorted himself out some years ago.
Will no doubt be a laundry when he gets a flat/accommodation of his own - so that's ok :-)

Have told him about various places where he can 'buy' cooker/kitchen stuff (2nd hand and pay up) also there's gumtree and freegle (which I had never heard of until I read a post from Mamya)
How old is he alba?
Question Author
25 Anne, and really should have moved out sooner.

Had name down on housing list but not an immediate 'up the list' as he was living at home.
No, this piece of nonsense wasn't to get him a flat on his own, was just one step too far re his brother and his dad in the middle,
In a few months I think you will look upon this episode as positive for all concerned. :-)
I hope that you're ok Alba Xx, I remember when myself and three Bro's at the time used to get into fights and on reflection it used must have scared Mum.
Question Author
am glad to report that we are all ok, the older alba is looking forward to his 'new' home.
He was here for dinner tonight and seems much happier in himself which is good.

Thank you all for your responses, very kind of you to have taken the time.
Wishing each of you all the very best for 2018 xxxx
I love some good news :-)
Yes, hope it's all sorted now, ah wench.

I know where your coming from, my brother and I had some serious punch up's and the older we got the worse they become.
We must have been an absolute nightmare for mom.
Question Author
'ello our kid :-) xx

Hope all is well with you and yours.

It's blooming scary seeing grown men fight.
Am just so glad things have settled.

Am making a list of things that the older one will need for his 'new'place and will be searching freegle, gumtree etc etc and no doubt asking on here too :-D
That is good to read Alba, hope that he enjoys his new abode.
Hoping that you all have a happy and joyful 2018,

Yeah, it matters not what or who gets in the way, does it.

Hope young Alba gets settled soon in his new gaff, Ah wench.
Boxing Day my younger daughter (been concerned for a couple of months) greeted me - when we all met up for a healthy walk on Filey sands before fish and chip lunch - with 'I'm seeing a solicitor". 2 children 8 & 6 - I spent several days spinning (trying to organise to get away tomorrow) and managed to organise a meeting, lunch and chat on Weds.. Things are looking up, thank goodness. IloveChristmas, but it does seem to be a focus for problems to surface. Now going to finish packing.
Question Author
jourdain, do hope all will be well with your daughter and your grand-children. Am sure they will be as you are a very supportive and caring person xx
