I am 65 years old and don´t have children. I have a young friend, aged 34, married, that has a little daughter, that is my beloved "granddaughter".
I would like to adopt him, since for me he is like a son. Can I do it?
Thank you for your answer,

Why? What advantage is there to adopting him?

If it is about when you die just leave it to him and his family.
That's a US link, Bookbinder.

As this link says (in red, at the top of the page), you CAN'T adopt an adult in the UK:
