Clueless About What To Do

my spouse left me i dont have a job and dont know what to do

my family knows and of course they are clueless .. we own a house and five acres.. the house and land has been in our family for over a hunderd years I am 57 years old and we have been married about 7 years. he has always took care of bills and insurance. now here i sit with no money and worried sick cause i feel so helpless

I am just looking for anyones suggestions..what and where do I go from here. I certainly arent looking for any handouts. Just some advice or let me know who to contact?

If you are in the UK then it would be the Citizens Advice office for your area but because of the lockdown situation I'm not sure at what capacity they are working at

The CAB closed a lot of their offices years ago and were working by phone calls.

Just what Emmie is saying , you'll have an equivalent of our Social Services, isn't called a Welfare department in the USA?

i believe we do have my spouse when he left . gave me a food stamp card and it has 74dollars on it for food only it says. I am not sure if i should contact them and let them know? i am just extremly confused and when i think about the holidays right around the corner? I am such a mess right now . I dont know how to go about how i am going to make it..i worry about my dogs its so sad cause they are used to eating whole can of food i have cut them down to half a can...I feel so helpless in this mess. I cant believe that i dont know what to do or cant think..I put my sofa for sale on for sale site and a lady says she will buy this wednesday..which i will buy dog food but what should i do with the rest? I plan on filling my car with gas. and that will leave about 20 dollars? its not like i can call the police and report that my husband left..its not a crime but i am feeling a impact of his actions
