How would you handle this person?I became friends w/someone I worked with.She's 52, never married, no kids & set in her ways. Her mindset's like her way is the best way, only way, right way, you know the type. Never bothered me before, I'm 62 & a grandma whose content in life & mind so it never affected I me personally. Recently accompanied her on 9hr road trip. To my HORROR, she was on her phone constantly. Turns out she doesn't just text & drive, she reads, posts, googles, looks at pics. looks at maps. The entire drive there & 9hr back, now pulling horse trailer & going 70+ mph in the rain! I questioned her & rattled some statistics, her reply was “I'm a 52 year old woman and I make my own choices" Really? Well, I'm in the car too. She never stopped. I'm livid, question the entire friendship.

I would wonder how you you found this site to ask such a ridiculously over the top question. Nobody would put up with a driver doing that for 9 hours. Nobody- unless it was the type of person who also texts and drives. Then you do the return journey towing a horse trailer? Yeah right.

instead of riding shotgun, get on the back of the horse in the trailer, then if she crashes, you can still make a quick getaway.

Just officially removed her from my life. She wouldn't even look at photos of the results of such accidents. Btw~ I wasn't in a position to "remove myself" on the road trip and get myself home. We were in rural Kentucky. And no, I don't text & drive, hence my horror & anger. I was just looking for validating opinions, thanks for those. You other scrubs can......
