Why Might This Guy Have Not Txt Me Yesterday?

This guy I've been meaning to go on a date with we normally message everyday I messaged him first yesterday so I'm now letting him chase me. I got loads of hours in work this week so it a bit harder to go on a date only days off are Friday and Sunday this week and he said going away this weekend and I go away next Wednesday for a week so probably won't be able to meet until im back. Do you think he was in a mood over it?

Could he be in a mood because you cancelled your date with him, citing a cold as the reason? As excuses go, it's on a par with 'washing my hair'.

No as he cancelled last week and I had a cold when we next made arrangements now I got loads of overtime in work.
