Do You Believe That Books About Sex Should Be Banned From The Children's Section In Libraries?
6 Answers
There is an election going on in my town for the directors of the school district, the library district, and for the community collage district. My mom works at the school, and knows some of the candidates. She told me who she is voting for. I google these candidates and can't really find any info on them, because we live in such a small town. It's not like finding information on Biden or trump. So should I just vote for who my mom recommends?

Better they learn facts than old wives' tales. I know of a few pregnancies that happened because the couple believed they couldn't get pregnant if they did it standing up, or other such nonsense.
Younger children should only have access to books about their bodies, pregnancy (because their mom is expecting another baby perhaps) and sex in a carefully considered and guided way, not simply help themselves to books in a library. There are some fantastic age appropriate books that are suitable for younger children if the parents consent and the teacher provides good support.
