I've arranged to meet this guy on Saturday and I feel nervous about him but hope we get on.

Not the same when it you having them I never went on floor

How old is he, Abbey?

^^  Very true - I think that's what old friend Floko would have said😊

Very Moorea

Abbey, do you know anything about the guy's seizures, or just that he has epilepsy? Your own experiences will surely make you feel more understanding, irrespective of the nature of any seizures? I think you're probably more anxious than usual because you have been so, so keen to 'find a man and settle down'. Try to keep at least one foot on the ground!

But give us all plenty of notice for the colour scheme so we can buy hats - thank you

Grand mal seizures  (tonic-clonic) - drop to floor and full body rigid jerking, sometimes losing control of bladder, often frothing at mouth, can leave sufferer feeling unwell for hours.  Can have very serious consequences

Petit mal (absence seizure) - sufferer seems to shut down mentally, loses awareness of what is going on around him, staring in to space.  Usually short lived, no real after effects.  People around them might be oblivious to it happening.

Someone who has epilepsy may have never seen anyone else have an attack and will be unaware of the way they've been treated themselves.  They will only know what they've been told.  It can still be frightening for them to see another person during an attack

Well that's me told!

I had already provided guidance

Don't worry abbey.  The chance of him having a seizure when you're out is probably minimal.  He'll doubtless be on medication for his condition.  I hope you have a lovely time.

My first husband had grand mal seizures...the first few times it was scary to see. But, he usually had an 'aura'...warning symptoms.

...I also saw a fellow student have a petit mal seizure when in High school. "no big deal"

Hopefully abbey's new friend can tell her what type he has.

One of my relatives had 'grand mal'.  He used to go into a trance, then it was as if a fly was buzzing round the room and he'd be watching it, then he'd go in to a full seizure.  He seemed to grow out of it in his 50s, or the treatment was better.  It was a long time ago when there was a lot of superstitious nonsense about epilepsy.

Well I have been absent for two weeks but it's still the same old same old.  What will you wear Abby?

Maybe you could post some suggestions Smurf 😉😊

A leopard print top maybe?

He has told me his symptoms during his seizures and I've told him mine I do but I think it different me seeing it then having one myself. I doubt he will on our date and we both on meds
