It's just a date.

If it doesn't work out, you don't have to see him again.

A little practice in socialising is a good thing.

Try not to over-think it in advance, just relax and see how things go.

Abbey, if you don't fancy him just tell him you've decided not to meet him.  You'll stop worrying about it then.

Yes, nothing to lose apart from maybe £30, and you might be surprised at how well you get on. But how fara way does he live- can you expect him always to come to you ?

Have you heard the saying don't judge a book by its cover, he may have a wonderful personality.

"He's not Jamaican and just about".  What does that mean?

Just about started to repay her mum.

Translating abbey's posts is an acquired skill

Abbey often answers 2 questions in one short sentence with missing pulsation, verbs and pronouns. The phrase I think is 'a stream of consciousness'

The jamaican reference was to Douglas's joke

^Punctuation  not pulsation !

If you don't fancy him - why agree to a date.

Cancel it now and not tomorrow that's just rude!

Am I the only one that doesn't get Douglas's joke?

No Barry, and Douglas thinks he is being clever but really he isn't.

No Barry, I don't get the reference either.

okay, so you dithered today and then called it off. Good- better late than never. But why did you blame the weather/feeling tired? Surely you should tell him he's just not what youre looking for- you said a few days ago he was too scrawny for you.

Maybe on your POF profile you should specify minimum heights (given one was too short for you) and weights/BMI (as this one was too scrawny)- it would save a lot of time, dithering and disappointment
