Thanks pingu748. That explains at least some of what's puzzled us. The thought had passed our minds that the branch staff might have gone through the session knowing the company were about to go bust.
The CD was supplied free of charge as part of the package and it was offered to us on the day with no obligation. The payment was for a framed enlargement of one print along with prints of the other photographs that were taken.
The framed portrait and other prints were scheduled to be ready for collection on 23rd December. Obviously, with the branch closed, we can't confirm that and we have no means of retrieving them. However, the website states that photographs that had been sent electronically to their printing facility, would be fulfilled and posted out to clients by the end of the second week of January 2007. The problem is that If the photographs were still on the branch computers on the day the company went bust, they will not be processed and are efffectively, lost forever.
Right now, we're hoping that the images had been sent for processing at the close of business on the 13th.
We've not contacted the liquidator yet because of the holidays, but we have received a claim form from the credit card issuer who have confirmed that the payment we made along with any interest due has been temporarily suspended. Obviously, until we're beyond the second week of January 2007, we're effectively in limbo.
