Hi Everhelful. This website will help - http://www.hitched.co.uk/speeches/examples/ind ex.asp
Congratulations. My daughter also gets married in June and her Dad hasn't even started to think about it yet. Perhaps he can get some tips from you
Ha - nice question.

When i got married, my dad said "Thank you very much" to my new husband for "Taking her off our hands" and "Can I have the key back now please" to me.

Good luck
Don't look on it as losing a daughter, but as gaining a bathroom.
At my wedding, my Dad making his speech, meant to say "as we gather in these auspicious circumstances" but ended up saying "as we gather in these suspicious circumstances"
He was more nervous than me!!!!
My "Little Girl" is getting married in May so here's another Father Of The Bride. I've looked up speeches on Google and read some from a wedding book but I've decided now to just go with the flow. I could use ream's of paper but, come the day I would probably get all mixed up so I'm saying what comes naturally. Bites nails. Good luck.
