hi,
brown is usualy the prominant eye colour but it is very possible that your daughter can inherit her mothers eyes... i am one of 5 children and 3 have brown eyes like my mum and 2 have blue like my dad... we are so alike there is no doubt that we have the same parents.... so do as Mumof2 says and just enjoy your children.....they dont stay small for long and every moment is very precious...best wishes and good luck for a long and HAPPY future together x

As Ethel says all white babies are born with blue eyes any shade from light to very dark. Even though your eyes are brown you might have inherited a blue gene from a parent hence why you can have a blue-eyed baby. Some brown-eyed parents (both) can have a blue-eyed baby because of this whereas two blue-eyed parents always have a blue-eyed baby
Hi Aaron,
both my daughters are mixed race and had blue eyes until they were over one. They are both brown now so your daughter's eyes can still change colour.
Saying that, just because they are blue doesn't mean she isn't your baby. Her eyes could turn green and you couldn't deny she was the mums child could you?
Don't worry about it xx

Helloooooo!!!
You already said it: the mother is different, so half her genes will be different to your other children.
And her mother has blue eyes, so even more reason for her to have blue eyes!
Her eyes might still turn a different colour until she's about one.
My nine-month old has blue eyes (so far) even though both his father and I have brown eyes.

Just wanted to add that my eyes are brown and my husbands are green, yet our eldest daughters eyes are blue! My husband was like you at first, thinking she wasn't his! But looking at our own parents eye colours - both our fathers have blue eyes, it is possible! Everyone said they'd probably turn brown, but she's 4 now and they're still blue.
@loz_82uk: I'd be extremely insulted if my husband ever voiced the thought that our baby wasn't his.
By the way, we have no idea where our son's blue eyes are coming from.
Maybe they will still change.
Both my parents and I think my parents-in-law, too, have brown eyes.
My sister has grey eyes.
We'll see!

Have a go on this....

interesting, I have brown eyes but my baby has grey the same as his father, he has roughly a 50% chance of brown,30% of green and 20% of blue eye colour as my Mum and partners dad both have green eyes, so the brown is not as dominant as it might otherwise be.
Hope it helps!

I think this guy is a little paranoid and doesn't have anything better to do then doubting he is the father of the baby. Either his new wife is a real unreliable one or he is a ridiculous insecure person who, instead of helping the wife changing the baby, feeding and other tasks, comes to this forum to say these nonsense.
Sorry but that is what it looks like for me.
