help with mortgage repayments

husband has left the marital home. Can I defer mortgage repayments for 3 months, until I get help from DSS? I do not work and have 2 school age children.

ask your mortgage company, they are the only ones who will be able to tell you. be honest with them about your situation and they may be able to help.
Why isnt your husband paying the mortgage?

Mortgage payments are paid by DSS after 39 weeks and then only the interest not any element of the money borrowed

I know it's not much help but my friend was having probs. All I know is she took a "mortgage holiday" for a while.
