Married in Cyprus
3 Answers
Me and my partner are planning to get married next May in Cyprus. We are going there on holiday in 3 weeks. We are going to take a trip to the town hall to see if we can book our space for next year. Do we need to take anything with us from the local county hall. Neither of us have been married before.

We booked all ours through first choice but from recollection it was just birth certificates, passports and a declaration doc that we had to sign to say we were free to marry.
We had to be on the island for 3 (could have been 4) full days not including day of arrival and then visit the townhall prior to the wedding to fill in the documentation.

hi there,i got married in paphos town hall last year,we booked all ours through thomas cook and they were excellent, you need passports, birth certificate, originals and photo copies and also if your name has previously been changed you need oringinal certificates which you can phone up and buy from your office,as i had to,also you need a decleration of singleness i was advised to go to a solicitor but they were charging over 100 so i asked citizens advice and ended up payiny 7 at the magistrates court and that was great, this should be all you will needbut i would try and book through a travel company ie thomas cook or anouther, then you are gaurenteed to have a perfect wedding and they check all the paper work and passports for you so its great.
