Am I still Auntie Kerris?
5 Answers
I am divorced but still see my ex sister-in-law and her children. Am I still officially their Aunt or am I demoted as I am no longer married to their uncle?
I know they can call me Auntie if they wish but I wondered how it stands from either an etiquette or official point of view!

I don't think the law would come into it anyway, as an aunt wouldn't be able to apply for contact or claim to be a beneficiary for financial reasons...
It's great that you still get to see your neices/nephews and that you are in contact with your ex sister in law. I don't ever see why these relationships should end just because a marriage does.
I am still in contact with my ex mother in law ~ and would be even if I didn't have children, as we have always got on well and had a 'separate' relationship from my ex husband.
She also looks upon my children from my 2nd marriage as her grandchildren too :o)
