Overprotective brothers

I'm da youngest of 5 (my bros 15,17,18 my sis 16 and me 14) my big brothers are very overprotective of me and it's really upsetting me, but if i tell my 'rents they;ll just pull the ''it's cause they love you'' card. Why r my bros like dat and don't say the same as my 'rents? and if ur an overprotective sibling why r u like dat? i'm also da youngest grandkid on my dady's side (there's 30 of us aged 24-14) and i'm spoilt by my cousins, aunties and uncles aswell as being doted on but my male cousins are just like my bros but i can deal with my cousins being like that!

It probably is because they love you. And don't want you to do the stupid things that they do.
And they could be a bit jealous too, since you probably get the most attention off everyone because you are the youngest.
Wait until you get boyfriends and stuff. Then you should be scared.

nothing wrong with being protected; most people need more of it, not less. Are you maybe wanting to do something they wouldn't like you to do? Any reason why it couldn't wait?

What seems like a bind now, Talia, will stand you in good stead for when you're older and might have children of your own. I know you don't want to hear it, but your parents ARE right. I bet they protect you as well!

Hiya, I know exactly what your going through. been there myself - I am now 25 and my big brothers have their own lives and tend to leave me alone now - but when i was growing up they were constantly there in my face, truth is - there is nothing you can do about it really, they will never stop being protective - at least not untill they have their own lives with a girlfriend & children or whatever. sorry that i have no advice for you or a solution to this problem, there just isnt an answer out there!!
