I am a widower and am trying to sort out who is who in my family am i right in thinking that my son and daughter are my nieces cousins and my grandaughters are her great cousins if not what is the relationship betwen them

Your grandchildren and your niece are first cousins, once removed.

If your niece has children then they and your grandchildren are second cousins

Many thanks to all of you and very many thanks for your nice remarks Kleiber and Mr Veritas i can assure you that there is no incest in my family all i was doing was trying to sort out what the relationships were
