child maintenance witha court order
5 Answers
Hi,
does any one know if child maintenance through a court order continues when they finish A levels and start college. Is this still full time education and when will it stop ? He is 18 and a half now and could continue in full time education in to his 30's if he wanted instead of working.. The order has been running for 10 years can we get it changed?
All very complicated i know.
Thanks

My ex decided he would not pay maintenance for her as she wont speak to him (long story but his fault).
My court order said until 18 or ceases full time education. He has had to pay and will until she finished college. She is doing a BTec Diploma which is classed as full time but I had to get a letter from college to go to the court.
I am not sure if he has to pay if and when she goes to uni cos I assume this is still full time education. I certainly dont think she will study till she is 30!!
