Contact Order

At what age does a contact order finish? The child was 6 when the order was made for them to have contact with their stepfather, and is now 15.

As this would be an order under the children's act then unless otherwise stated it will last until the child is 18.

Thanx for that , but what happens when the child has a job in the holidays or wants to go to friends at the same time as her contact in the hols, would this be seen as breaking the contact order?

A contact order is in place until the next contact order or until the child is old enough and competant enought to make their own descisions.
Who wants the change ?? child or parent???

My daughter was 13 when she decided she would not return to her fathers house (he had the beneft of the residence order at the time) and no court in the land would go against her wishes or force her to return
Her father tried to bring the police in and she calmly told the police if you force me i will run away and fromt hat they chose not to force her as she was in a safe environment.
