My 8 month old has been teething for the past week, and got his first tooth on Friday. Since then he's had a really red, bumpy rash on his cheeks and nose, which has started to spread to his forehead.

Can anyone recommend a cream or ointment for this?

Applying Sudocrem won't do any harm but I'd suggest you let your health visitor/GP check the rash.
I would get the little one checked out. My son always got an ear infection and a rash when he cut a tooth. Amoxycillin was always in the fridge. It was the ear infection that caused the rash.
