finding paternal father

I was born via artificial insemination in july 1981. I know the my father was a doctor and I know which hospital the procedure was done.

is there any chance of finding any records that would help me?

If it was an anonymous donor, then I doubt you have any right to seek your biological father. Most of these sperm donors did so under the guarantee of their identities being held in confidence, which I believe is still the case.

Bear in mind also, most anonymous donors would not wish to be located by their biological offspring.
if you know he was a doctor, cant you ask the person who told you this?
this is a hard one why do want to no so bad? after all i dont think doners really want that paternal maternal connecction thats not the reason they donate , i think you may end up disapointed
There has been a recent change in the law, whereby offspring of donors will be allowed to trace their biological parent. However, this only applies to future donors children. It has had a marked effect, in that by losing their anonymity the numbers of donors has dropped significantly.
