Chicken nugget horror!!!!

Well today I didn't feel like cooking dinner so I went to Sainsburys for a bite to eat with my 4 yr old. She wanted chicken nuggets so after waiting ages they finally arrived and luckily for her she decided instead of eating them whole, like she normally does, she wanted them cut into pieces. So I did and to my horror they were all completely raw in the middle except one! I immediately took them back and the staff member apologised and said they were probed at 89. Obviously just the cooked one was then! She asked if I wanted some more, needless to say I didn't and my daughter had some turkey slices instead. When someone else brought them out I asked for a refund and she said she would go and see. She stroppily came back to the table and said we will give you the money back this time but we don't normally do that! I looked at her incredibly and said are you having a laugh? If my daughter had have eaten those nuggets she could have been seriously ill or worse and you're quibbling over giving me my money back! Your lucky I don't report you! She walked away while I was still speaking and said if I had a problem then to speak to her manager because she didn't have to stand there and be shouted at! I didn't shout. The lady at the next table said the same had happened to her the previous week too!
I spoke to the store team leader on the way out and she was suitably shocked and gave me a �10 gift card. Wow!
Should I report them not bother, what do you think?

You should at least complain to head office. I probably would have reported them to the authorities as well.

well if u felt strongly enough to tell us on here then yes you should report that person rite away...her attitude was way out of order so get her reprimanded or even better FIRED!!! lots of other decent people need jobs these days ,especially!! no room in the work place for lazy slobs like that..

I would definitely report them - particularly as some mad woman has experienced it before. I can't believe she actually returned to the place, but also that you let your daughter eat there even though she had already received raw meat?!

For my own peice of mind I would report them to the local authorities just so that someone else doesn't get sick x

hi tigwig u dont live in birmingham do you as we had the same trouble in our sainsburys.my son who is 2 had the childrens curry to find that the chicken was still frozen in the middle. after 20 minutes of arguing with staff i was given a refund.
a few months later we was in there again and the kids were hungry so i agreed to get something to eat but from the cold counter like a sandwich or pasta. my son chose a egg sandwich. i read the packet first to see what was in it as he didnt like mayo. it stated that it was butter. when biting into it it was infact mayo on it. i complained to the staff and was told they had ran out of butter in the kitchens so used mayo. firstly i was appauled at the excuse as there are many tubs of butter on the shelf. also the lady said its no big deal. that really got me mad. i understanthat it didnt do him any harm but what if my son couldnt have mayo due to allergies. again i got a refund but i would never use there cafe for food again i did write to h/o and never got a reply
