You would probably both have to be Moslem or one convert to Islam to wed in a Mosque.

You could probably both marry in a church though. Hundreds of non believers of Christianity marry in churches all the time, because they view it as "traditional".

Can't you have a civil wedding?
I think it depends on the vicar, some prefer you to have been christened at the church and that will be enough, some want you to be a regular member of the congregation, others may not place any restrictions on it.
surely if you are 2 different religions you should have a secular wedding. A muslim marrying a catholic is hardly the same as a protestant marrying a methodist - in the former 2 different gods are involved!!
You can get married anywhere you like for a civil ceremony but you could ask about a catholic blessing if that is allowed, and then ask what would be appropriate for a similar service in a mosque.
Craft - only one god is involved here, surely. The believers have just understood the nature of god in different ways.
Personally I would forget the differences and settle for a nice country house hotel with a registrar in attendance.
well Lil I think Christians would agree that there is only one god but I don't know if the Muslims would say that theres' is the same god as the Christians'
Craft, this is someone else's question so not to take up space with obsessiveness, but the answer lies in who you're asking on either side - an informed thinker who sees the broader picture, or a small-minded people-hater who is looking for reasons to hurt others mentally or physically.
As an atheist it's all one to me which is why I feel people should choose a pleasant wedding venue that ensures maximum enjoyment with minimum emotional baggage.
If you want to have a marriage in a catholic church to a muslim you sometimes can. If a local priest agrees to do this he needs to obtain permission first firstly from his bishop.

I was married in a mosque in Turkey although I am catholic (and we were already married in the church here) but I'm not sure a mosque here would allow a mixed marriage.
