Has anyone had any success tracing a long lost relative? Any tips on how to begin such a search? It is a matter of siblings separated in early childhood 50+ years ago. All ideas gratefully received, thanks.

How about placing adverts in newspapers? Also the Salvation Army do a people trace service. If any of your siblings are male you could try the electorol roll but it would be a long search countrywide and they be outside the UK.

Have you tried friendsreunited and genesreunited? Both worth a try. I found a first cousin I'd not seen for 30 years on genesreunited.

I found 2 cousins I hadn't seen for over 30 years through friends reunited.....
and a distant cousin I never knew about through genes reunited......
