If I wanted a full certificate I had to go to the registry office and collect and pay for it. Perhaps this was the case with you also but your parent(s) never went to get the full certificate.
Kazz if you live in the same town where you were born just nip into the register office and ask for a full copy certificate, take the short one with you, the short certificate is abit smaller than A5 and square. You will have to pay 7 for the full copy but you will have your parents details on there and their occupations and address.
If you look at the short copy you have it gives you the sub-district and registration district , this is where you will find the full copy, if you are no longer living in that area, you can still nip into your local registwer office and ask them to give you the address for the office holding your record of birth registration, then just send them a cheque for 7 and an sae and your detaiuls, the register office locally can give you an application form to send off with the cheque.
